В статье анализируются фильмы исторического жанра, вышедшие в советский период развития отечественного кинематографа, отразившие на экране знаковые исторические события и биографии выдающихся личностей. Раскрываются драматургические и художественные решения фильмов, созданных в разные годы известными режиссерами. Обосновывается актуальность заложенных в этих картинах нравственных и художественных принципов, позволяющих применять их в качестве инструмента просвещения и воспитания современных молодых поколений.

The article analyzes Soviet historical films which represented significant historical events and biographies of outstanding personalities. The author reveals the dramatic and artistic aspects of the films created by famous directors in different years. The relevance of the moral and artistic principles inherent in these films is substantiated, allowing them to be used as an instrument for educating and upbringing modern young generations.
