В статье рассматривается вопрос о необходимости перевода песен при адаптации фильма для проката за рубежом. При дублировании или субтитровании картины редакторы и переводчики редко обращают внимание на перевод текстов песен, звучащих в фильме, лишая таким образом зрителя возможности воспринимать режиссерский замысел и драматургическое решение картины в полной мере.

The article discusses the necessity to translate songs when adapting the film for international release. While dubbing or subtitling, film supervisors and translators seldom pay attention to the translation of the songs thus depriving the audience of perceiving the director’s concept and dramatic structure to the full.
